Secret to Success on P3 Stabilization

Phase 3 on the hCG diet is the most important part of According to Dr. Simeons. Stabilization is the key to your long term success.

The stabilization period:

The 21 days following last VLCD on the hCG diet

Following your last dose you continue on 500 calories for 72 hours and then begin 1500 calorie Phase 3 stabilization.

You must maintain your weight not going above or below 2 lb. of your last dosage weight.

You are to avoid all sugars and starches on Phase 3

Introduce new foods slowly and one at a time to monitor at the scale how it affects your stabilization weight

You do not have to watch your fats on Phase 3.  Here are great P3 recipes

    Do you keep your caloric intake to 1500 calories a day?? And do you compensate for any exercise during P3?

    Dr. Simeons recommends 1500 calories during P3 and does not say to compensate for exercise.

    I wouldn’t it is a great option to keep in carbs so your body does not go in
    to shock when you start reintroducing them.

    Shawna, 1500 calories doesn’t apply to everyone, right? I am supposed to go by my height and weight on Calorie Control Council, correct? I am 5’11 and 155 lbs, therefore I should eat 2200 cals. I think. These 1500 calories are brought up so often that I am beginning to doubt myself.

    It is different for everyone we are all shapes and sizes. You metabolism plays in to so if you need to adjust you can. It’s more important to make sure and get the right balances of protein and no hidden sugars.

    Your welcome! you can start protein after the first 3-4 days if you are
    doing ok. Start increasing your calories adding in eggs and other meats and
    veggies. When you do introduce protein keep it to 1 scoop per day and get
    your protein from animal protein instead. Let me know if you need any

    I am so afraid to start p3.. I don’t want to gain weight. I have been trying to lean from vlogs.. Any advice and where I can read anything? HELP.. I lost 30 lbs I have 30 more to go I love how i look and feel now and know next p2 will be great.

    Hello!  I am in R1P3D5 I am eating 1500 calories per day and I’m still losing weight.  Today I am at a 2 pound loss without trying. I need to gain weight and can only find correction days for weight gain.  Can anyone give me advice for when we lose 2 lbs in Phase 3?  Help please.  Thank you!

    You need to increase calories and that will fix going under ldw or adjust ldw if its a continuing problem

    If you are forced to cheat on p3 for a day and gain more than 2 lbs, can a correction day get you back on track or will this mess up the entire protocol?

    I would not and wait until later when mixed with other fats the mac nuts usually make you gain in p3

    Carole, you need to cut back on the exercise after being so close to just coming off of the drops.  Have you looked back through your food journals to see if any particular food started triggering the weight increases?
