Hi Carol, I’m confused about the use of extra virgin coconut oil on the HCG protocol. I asked my N.D. and she said it is a deviation frm the original Dr. Simeons’ no fats/oils. I have been using coconut oil for years, in my cooking and beauty care, after reading a lot about it because I worked in a health food store. I know it’s the superior fat, and how it helps increase metabolism, but I am still unsure if it’s compatible with the HCG diet and if yes, at what point of the diet? I am on my second load day today of my first round. BTW, you look FAB in your miss me jeans! WWWWOOOW! What an inspiration for me.

I am a huge believer in Coconut products, including the oil. I believe that Dr. Simeons didn’t know the real health benefits to this product because I am sure that he would of tried it on protocol. You can surely do the protocol without, although those who add it in have higher losses. So, read up on it as much as you can and then make your call. At the end of the day, you need to do what you feel comfortable doing and what works for you and your body. happy releases :)
