Low Carb Burger

When traveling check for low carb options for p3 and p4.  Today I was at Hardees contemplating what I could eat without breaking the hCG diet, and decided to try the low carb burger.  I was pleasantly surprised.  It was filling and a great option.  I had them hold the mayo and did ketchup and mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions and cheese.

One of our challenges is continuing to make the right choices especially when we are traveling.  Just remember that there are options out there if you look for them and sometimes get creative with what’s on the menu!

P3 Taco Salad

Taco Salad

Phase 3 recipe

1 lb of lean ground beef

1 can Rotel
1/4 diced onion
Salt and Pepper to taste
Lettuce bed
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup shredded cheese
 
Dressing:  I use homemade salsa and cover the top of the salad
 
Cook the ground beef, onion and seasonings.  Once the ground beef is done pour in a can of drained Rotel and simmer.  Add the meat to the top of the lettuce bed add the cheese and let it melt.  Then add your other toppings and salsa.

Easy Indian Burgers

Indian Spiced Burgers

Phase 2, with phase 3 modifications

1 lbs   Lean ground beef

2-4 tb  Minced White Onion
1-3 tb  Minced Garlic
1/4  Cup of water
1-2 tb  Sweet Curry Powder
1 tsp  Cilantro
1 tsp MCT Oil
P3 Options:
1/4 Cup of crunchy peaut butter
2 tsp cyrstallized ginger chopped
1 slice of white cheese
Cover the minced onion and minced garlic with water for 5 minutes.  Start with smaller amounts the first time.  Drain off any excess liquid and combine the onions and garlic with the ground beef, curry, cilantro and MCT oil.  Mix well and form into 4 patties.  Grill or broil to your degree of doneness. 
If in P3 and adding(optional) peanut butter, turn the burger once and add 1 tsp of peanut butter to each patty and continue to grill to soften the peanut butter.  Chop the crystallized ginger into small bits and sprinkle on top of the peanut butter for topping.  You can subsitute your cheese of choice as an alternative.
Serve with lettuce as  a wrap or sliced tomatoes.

Gourmet Sausage

Summer is underway and what better way than to enjoy quick easy meals.  Try this fast and very tasty Phase 3 hCG Simeons Protocol recipe. 

1 Gourmet Sausage link (Sugar Free)
Veggies of choice (I use peppers and red onion)

Slice sausage and fry in MCT or Coconut Oil. Cook until lightly browned.

 Add veggies and cook until veggies are to desired tenderness. Serve and enjoy.
