Steak & Cheese Day on the hCG Diet

STEAK & CHEESE DAY: The person is told to eat two eggs for breakfast and a huge steak for lunch and dinner followed by a large helping of cheese. When this treatment is followed, two lbs. can vanish overnight, the swollen ankles are normal but sleep was disturbed, owing to an extraordinary need to pass large quantities of water.1

STEAK DAY: As long as the weight stays within two pounds of the weight reached on the day of the last injection, one should take no notice of any increase. However, the moment the scale goes beyond 2 lbs., even if this is only a few ounces, they must on that same day entirely skip breakfast and lunch but take plenty to drink. In the evening, they must eat a huge steak with only an apple or a raw tomato. This rule applies only to the morning weight. It is of the utmost importance that this be done on the same day as the scale registered an increase of more than two pounds from the weight you achieved on the last injection day. You must NOT postpone this protocol until the next day.1
TO AVOID A STEAK DAY: This method is not meant to take the place of a steak day. It is only intended to drop some weight when you are getting close to a required Steak Day. If you see a Steak Day drawing near, you can do the following, which will usually bring your weight down a pound or so the next day. 1) Drink lots of water that day; 2) Don’t eat until lunch; 3) Have a whole can of tuna (water packed), or chicken with mayo on either lettuce or celery for lunch; 4) Have a big portion of protein for dinner with a small salad and 0-1 carbohydrate dressing (ex. Ranch); 5) If you are extremely hungry, you could also have 2 eggs for breakfast.

My Results from the Detox Bath on the hCG Diet!

We have talked about this before, but I want to encourage everyone to try the detox bath. If you think about how much body fat the body is breaking down while on the hCG, it will encourage you to help in the cleansing process. This is why drinking 2 liters of water a day to help the cleansing is so important. It is also important to note that if you drink a lot of caffeine you will need to increase your water intake to compensate for the dehydrating features of caffeinated drinks. The hCG releases at the cellular level and flushes out through urination.

I have personally lost 1-2 lbs with every detox bath I have done and I try to do them a few times a week. I feel much better after getting the toxins out of my system. Go light a candle, relax, and enjoy the detox bath knowing that you are helping the process of your weight loss move along that much quicker!

Steak Day on hCG Diet

If you are in Phase 3 or Phase 4 and you go over the 2 lb mark of you LIW, you must do a steak day that very day. The steak day is more effective when done the day you see the gain. Of course this rule applies only to the morning weight. You should never check your weight during the day, as there may be wide fluctuations and these are merely too alarming and confusing.

Steak Day Instructions:
steakIt requires abstaining from all food until the evening meal. You may drink water, tea, and coffee anytime and in whatever quantity you desire, but you do not eat anything until dinner. In the evening eat a huge steak with only an apple or a raw tomato. You can have butter and any other fat with your meal on this day.

Doing a steak day on the day in which a gain is registered, the next morning brings about an immediate drop of often over a pound.

Detox Baths

Detox baths are a good way to start your hCG journey. It is recommended to cleanse and detox before loading. You can also do this throughout the protocol.

Pour 1 lb. of Epsom Salt into a very warm bath with 1 lb. baking soda (Arm & Hammer). Soak in tub of warm/hot water – as warm as can take water for at least 20 minutes. Don’t shower off until next day.

You may feel light headed, dizzy, weak and completely drained after a detox bath, so doing it around bedtime is a good idea.. It’s a symptom of weak adrenals.

Epsom Salt “detoxes” your body by drawing out the toxins and replenishing nutrients that your body needs and it make my skin feel very nice and soft. Baking soda increases CO2 levels in the blood, which dilates blood vessels and increases circulation, causing a “tired” feeling. It’s sort of like chemical exercise. All the magnesium and bicarbonate are getting flooded with minerals and nutrients. Magnesium is a natural mild sedative and is great inside and out for reducing muscle spasms and strains.

Sometimes taking fresh squeezed orange juice with a little sea salt and sip during the bath can help this. You can also add a handful of dead sea salts, which will give minerals and micronutrients that will feed and improve the skin

Take advantage of the relaxation to get a good nights sleep.
